The Central Okanagan Charitable Gaming Association (COCGA) regularly hosts grant writing workshops for community groups, organizations and charities from the central Okanagan, specifically aimed at BC gaming grant funding applications.
Grant writing workshops are timed for each of the three current government “community grant intake” periods for
(1) Arts and Culture; and Sport
(2) Public Safety; and Environment
(3) Human and Social Services.
The workshop focuses on how to write successful applications for a gaming grant; is aimed at both first-time applicants, and returning applicants, especially those who have been denied, or have funding questions. Community groups attending are encouraged to bring along recent applications or submissions to BC Gaming for specific comment.
Workshops are generally held on a Saturday in the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce boardroom at 544 Harvey Ave. An RSVP is required to email@example.com, advising how many people are attending from their organization. Cost is $10 per person. A light lunch is usually available. Presenter is Caroline Miller from the Central Okanagan Charitable Gaming Association (COCGA). If you have questions, you may also email firstname.lastname@example.org.
